Fifteen new games are launching on Xbox today, October 30, marking the penultimate daily release wave for the month. The lineup features a strong emphasis on horror and spooky themes to coincide with Halloween, alongside a variety of other genres ranging from retro-fantasy RPGs to cozy puzzle games.
Among the featured titles is Asylum, an ambitious first-person horror adventure available on Series X|S, PC, and Cloud. The game casts players into the hallucinatory setting of the Hanwell Mental Institute, aiming to create a terrifying experience within its horrid environment. Another key release is Bobo and the Chest of Nightmares, a solo-developed passion project for Console and PC. This title draws inspiration from golden-era classics such as Spyro the Dragon, MediEvil, and Crash Bandicoot, bringing back tight movement mechanics and low-poly gothic charm.
The roster also includes Queen's Domain, a retro-fantasy action RPG for Series X|S where players wash up on the Isle of Neasied to find their father and uncover the island's dark secrets. Family-friendly chaos awaits in The Cat in the Hat: Rainy Day Mayhem, available on Series X|S and PC, allowing users to play as characters like Sally, Johnny, Thing 1 & Thing 2, or Little Cat A alongside the iconic Cat in the Hat.
Several other titles round out today's releases with diverse gameplay styles. Cat Pipes: More Meow offers a cozy, hand-drawn puzzle experience focused on guiding warmth to sleepy cats. For horror fans, Corner Shop: NightShift presents a first-person narrative sim set in a failing convenience store, while Love Love Mystery Club delivers an immersive horror-dating simulator set in a Thai high school involving spirits and the occult club.
Additional releases include Ex-Master, Zombie, where players rise as a zombie head to reclaim lost skills and body fragments; My Life: Zoo Vet, which tasks players with nursing various animals back to health; and Pinballoid Crush, an arcade pinball experience with adventure elements. Sigi A Fart for Melusina features a knight on a flatulent quest to save his love by battling goofy enemies up Mount Stinkup.
The list continues with Space Rock Breaker, a short incremental game about mining asteroids and processing ore through a Plinko machine; The Abjuration Stand, a fast 2D tower defense survival game where a wizard defends against green slimes; and The Night of the Exorcism, which challenges players to navigate seven creatures holding Isabella's life to expel devils or succumb to temptation. Finally, Varsity Brawls offers a board-game roguelike experience set on a lively campus driven by dice rolls.
