The Coalition has released a 20th Anniversary celebration update for Gears of War: E-Day, bringing back the classic Guardian Versus mode and adding a limited-time mission to Horde Siege.
In Guardian, each team has a designated leader, and a round ends when one of the leaders is killed. The mode has appeared in almost every Gears title since Gears of War 2, and its return adds another option to E-Day’s Versus lineup.
Horde Siege’s new limited-time mission, “For the Queen,” removes resupplies from caches across the map. Players must make do with the supplies they bring in and anything they can repurpose from defeated grubs.
The update also includes Anniversary challenges, skins, banners and poses in the store.
