GTA 6 is reported to require a 212GB download, so players may need to make room on their console drives before launch. Rockstar has announced that digital pre-loading begins on November 10, giving players nine days before the game arrives on November 19.
On Xbox Series X|S, pre-loading starts globally at 12:00 a.m. GMT on November 10. That is 7:00 p.m. Eastern, 6:00 p.m. Central and 4:00 p.m. Pacific on November 9. Players in Europe can begin at 1:00 a.m. CET on November 10. On PlayStation 5, downloads become available at midnight local time.
GTA 6 will launch at midnight local time on November 19, regardless of platform. For physical retail editions, code-in-a-box copies are expected to start arriving at retailers on November 12.
Rockstar also plans to offer a printable version of the game’s cover art and the full map of Leonida as free digital downloads through its official website on launch day. A double-sided printed map and poster will be available through the Rockstar Store shortly after launch for $0.99, or as a free gift with a purchase.
