Microsoft’s Surface Laptop 8 has received an early price cut ahead of Black Friday. Amazon is listing the consumer model at $1,249.99, compared with its previous $1,699.99 price, representing a 26% discount.

The laptop is equipped with a Snapdragon X2 Elite processor, 16GB of RAM and an integrated NPU rated at 80 TOPS. The hardware is intended to handle productivity workloads and multitasking, while Microsoft claims more than 20 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Its 13.8-inch LCD touchscreen reaches 600 nits of brightness and is complemented by Wi-Fi 7 support. The model also includes an advanced haptic feedback system that can provide subtle vibrations through the keyboard, stylus or mouse during actions such as moving files or rearranging application windows.

The RAM is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded. However, the included 512GB SSD can be replaced with a 1TB or 2TB drive.

The Surface Laptop 8 is not positioned as a gaming laptop. Its integrated graphics and ARM architecture may struggle with graphically demanding games and titles that rely on intensive anti-cheat systems.

According to the provided price-tracking information, this is the laptop’s lowest recorded price so far. Buyers who need a work-focused laptop immediately can take advantage of the current offer, while those willing to wait may choose to see whether Black Friday brings a further reduction.
