Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s first season is due to begin on November 6, bringing new content including the X01 map. Solo DMZ players looking to stock up beforehand can try a Loot route that takes around 10–15 minutes and focuses on six bunkers on the western side of the map, plus a nearby military compound.
The route was recommended by YouTube creator TheSpazo. To set it up, deploy into the Operation Iron Citadel story mission. Players who have not unlocked it must first complete the pyramid’s first three missions. The mission is not required once the raid begins, but selecting it places players in the area needed for the route.
After spawning, find a vehicle and visit the six missile-silo bunkers marked as circles on the map. Start with the bunker west of the spawn point, then continue south and around the route. The bunkers contain weapon lockers, bags, military lockers, toolboxes and other loot. Some may have an AI enemy, but the route’s main aim is to move quickly through each location rather than clear surrounding areas.
There is also a stop at the Military Compound north of the airbase. Approach from the south, pass through the gap in the wall and climb the exterior stairs of the first building to reach a safe upstairs. Then return to the bunker route and head for an extraction point once the loot is collected.
The run can yield at least six weapons, along with valuables that can be sold at the FOB for DMZ Cash or used for upgrades. The source recommends keeping Gold Skulls and Gold Bars if found, as they are rare and may be needed later. A Weapon Backpack and an empty weapon slot can provide an opportunity to extract with two additional weapons; a Medium Backpack can help secure valuable items.
Players should keep their loadout light and avoid spending time looting unrelated buildings. Although the story mission appears to offer a quieter starting point, other players can still be in the match. The route’s loot or player conditions may also change with Season 1, making the pre-season period an opportunity to gather supplies, particularly for those planning to explore X01.
