A YouTube channel named “P1REMAKE” has uploaded a video that appears to show gameplay from a remake of Atlus’ first Persona game. The footage has attracted attention from fans because it suggests the project could be coming to Xbox, and potentially PC as well.

The video includes characters exploring a monster-filled school, a visual-novel-style scene and turn-based battles resembling the combat seen in recent Persona releases. During combat, the interface displays Xbox controller buttons, including Y, X, B, A and RB, which has fueled speculation about the platforms involved.

However, there is no confirmation that the footage is official. The video could be a fan-made trailer, although its presentation has led some viewers to question whether it might be genuine or a proof of concept. Atlus has not publicly validated the project, and the company has not appeared to request that the video be removed.

The possibility of a remake is also being discussed because Atlus previously expressed interest in remaking Persona 1 and Persona 2. Both games have a darker tone, story and gameplay style than the later entries that made the series more widely known.

For now, fans will have to wait for an official announcement. The report suggests that a Persona remake could potentially be revealed at a future Game Awards event or Xbox Games Showcase, where Persona projects have recently been presented.

In the meantime, Persona 4: Revival is scheduled to launch for consoles and PC on February 18, 2027.
