Xbox players will soon have two distinct Vice City-themed titles arriving in mid-November, with Vice: Magic City Mayhem scheduled for release on November 18, 2026. This date places the game's launch just one day before the official debut of Grand Theft Auto 6 on November 19. While the title adopts a visual style reminiscent of Rockstar Games' epic, the gameplay experience is fundamentally different from the open-world crime simulator.
Vice: Magic City Mayhem is described as a top-down 8-bit retro action-adventure game that blends the exploration and puzzle-solving mechanics of The Legend of Zelda with the thematic elements of Vice City. Players will assume the role of Dutch, a feared enforcer in Magic City, on a dangerous quest to rescue his love interest, Sophie. The adventure takes players through chaotic nightclubs, scenic beaches, and yachts infested with raptors in a setting defined by high stakes and dark humor.
The project originally began as a Kickstarter campaign last year, successfully raising $13,278 against a $10,000 goal. The development team includes veterans who have previously worked at major studios such as EA and Telltale Games. For those interested in securing a copy, the game is available for pre-order on the Xbox Store for £12.49 or $14.99.
