Microsoft may have accidentally fueled speculation about an Xbox version of World of Warcraft: Forever after Xbox UK briefly included the game in a post about titles scheduled to arrive on Xbox in November.
The post, spotted by Reddit user u/hazedesunna, encouraged followers to make room for November releases and featured images of Shrek 2: Remastered and World of Warcraft: Forever. Xbox UK later deleted the post and explained that the inclusion of Blizzard’s MMORPG was a mistake.
In a follow-up message, Xbox UK stated that World of Warcraft: Forever would be available on PC and Mac through Battle.net and was not available on Xbox. The account apologized for the confusion and reposted the information without the game.
The correction has nevertheless revived existing rumors about a potential console port. The speculation follows references including Brazilian classifications and comments attributed to Blizzard about making World of Warcraft playable on a wide range of platforms, alongside mentions of Project Helix. The game also supports Xbox controllers, although that does not confirm an Xbox release.
World of Warcraft: Forever is scheduled to launch on November 4, 2026. For now, Blizzard has not been cited as officially announcing an Xbox version, leaving the Xbox UK listing open to interpretation as either a genuine social media error or an accidental reveal.
